Writers @ LPL [Main Library Meeting]

Writers @ LPL is a writing group hosted by Lakeland Public Library (100 Lake Morton Drive). Writers @ LPL meets the first Wednesday each month in the Meeting Room.

6pm | First Steps for New Writers (6 – 7pm)

Topic: New Ways to Look at Writing

 

Author Tiana Clark said: "I remind myself that paying intense attention to the world is also writing. Revising is writing. Resting is writing. Loving myself through my failures is a way into writing. Defining my own relationship to writing is writing.“  We’ll discuss new and different ways to look at what constitutes “writing” and the writing life.

 

7pm | The Next Level for Intermediate Writers (7 – 8:50pm)

Topic: Is ____ Writing? Research, Revising and What Comes Between

 

We’ll continue the “Is ____ writing?” discussion. We’ll also cover research techniques and best practices for revision.
