Writers @ LPL is a writing group hosted by Lakeland Public Library (100 Lake Morton Drive). Writers @ LPL meets the first Wednesday each month in the Meeting Room.

Topic: Critique - overview
Critiques are indispensable to writers to help hone the craft of writing. We’ll recap the four types of writing - descriptive, expository, narrative, and persuasive - and discover what a critique is as well as how to give/receive critiques by examining two short pieces of writing..

 

7pm | The Next Level for Intermediate Writers (7 – 8:50pm)
Topic: Critique - what to do afterwards
Your work has been critiqued - for better or worse. What do you do with what’s been said? We’ll discuss how to use critiques to make your writing stronger.
