Lakeland Opera: La Boheme – ISO Opera producer Greg Sale and his wife Christina will welcome lecture attendees to the Latin Quarter garret where La Boheme’s characters reside. Themes and future influences of the opera (like the hit musical Rent) will be discussed.
The study of music has many connections with the multitude of humanities disciplines. With an emphasis on appreciation, a jaunt into history and a hint of technique, lectures for adults stretch music’s value beyond entertainment.
The ISO’s Listeners’ Club, in partnership with the Lakeland Public Library, presents free lectures and discussions related to upcoming ISO performances and symphonic music in general. Learn about composers, musical themes, instruments and your ISO musicians in an interactive lecture once a month.
