Write a [love, found, dream] Poem Workshop

Wed, Apr 11, 7 - 8:45 p.m.  Registration required; space is limited to 10 participants.

Presenters: Ann Sargent and Brenda Patterson

Celebrate National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) by writing a poem with us. In this workshop, we’ll cover three common types of poetry: dream, love, and found poems. Dream poetry uses your dreams’ images to build your poems. Love poems aren’t always about romantic love. You don’t have to be ‘inspired’ to write poetry; poetry can be ‘found’ in everyday places.

Don't worry if you’ve never written a poem before, you’ll learn the basics of poetry writing, too. Bring paper and pen or your laptop and write a poem with us. Want to know more about NaPoWriMo? For more info, visit http://www.napowrimo.net/.

Ann Sargent is an author of two poetry chapbooks and a member of Platform Poets (https://platformpoets.weebly.com/). Contact Brenda Patterson at (863) 834-4276 or Brenda.Patterson@lakelandgov.net.
