Twitter for Beginners

In this class we will identify the parts of a Tweet and compose Tweets of your own, including enhancements like pictures, videos and GIFs. Participants will use Twitter’s search tool to find users, organizations and topics that they want to interact with.

We will also explore the purpose of a hashtag and use it to connect with other users talking about the same topic. We will also practice methods of interacting with other users by Direct Tweeting and Re-Tweeting. By the end of class, participants will understand how Twitter works, and feel confident enough to join in the conversation.

To create an account, you will need to bring your cell phone to class. If you already have a Twitter account, please know your username and password.

iPads will be provided however, if you have a personal device you want to learn on, please bring it with you to class.
